Approved Quality Management

At BRITAX, quality is at the top of our agenda and plays a key role in everything we do. Whether it’s quality checks during production stages, the selection of suitable materials during product development or extreme testing that must be passed by every product before it’s launched – all of our measures ensure that BRITAX products are of the highest quality. It is therefore not a surprise that BRITAX is one of a small elite group of manufacturers whose quality management systems are based on the stringent requirements of the automotive industry. The designers and engineers at our development sites in Germany and the UK work with the latest technologies and research results. We are one of the few manufacturers to have our own crash system, both in Germany and the UK, which enables us to conduct the necessary tests at any time. This is what makes our child safety systems so safe, efficient and ergonomic.
Our quality management systems follow the strict requirements of the automotive industry, which comply with the international technical standard ISO TS 16949:2009 (prerequisite: ISO 9001:2008). The technical specification ISO TS 16949 is the first globally valid certification standard for the quality management systems of automotive suppliers and their subcontractors.

The strength of an enterprise also shows in areas where sales success is not the prime concern. Conscious of ecology and the environment, both important for continuance and survival, BRITAX takes its responsibility seriously – from planning and production down to packing material and its disposal. All materials and fabrics are subject to the most stringent test procedures and are controlled regularly, for instance to Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
BRITAX voluntarily commits to manufacture high quality products by observing ecological principles and is certified to the standard DIN EN ISO 14001 based on the environmental auditing law.
