Everything you need to know about the Travel Systems

B-DUAL200What do we mean when we say Travel System?

A Travel System makes the flexible, uncomplicated and, above all, safe transportation of babies and small children possible, whether by foot, pushchair or in a vehicle. The different modules fit perfectly together and can therefore be used in various situations.

Which pushchair shall it be?

The age of the child as well as the concrete circumstances and the preferences of the parents are factors that decide which pram is the right one for the child. However, there are several points that need to be taken into consideration when buying a pram, pushchair or buggy.

Safety:

  • No sharp edges or badly-constructed hinges
  • Good brakes
  • Well-fitting and padded straps
  • Stability

Ergonomics:

  • Soft, but not too soft, suspension
  • Adjustable backrest and footrest

Convenience:

  • Sufficient storage room
  • Footmuff, shopping net, sun and rain cove
  • Adjustable push handle

Flexibility:

  • Manoeuvrable and removable wheels
  • Simple folding mechanism

What are the combination possibilities offered by a Travel System?

A key criterion for the different prams is their attachment, meaning the baby seat, baby cot, soft carrycot, pushchair attachment or seat. In the process, the age of the child tips the scales in terms of which solution serves their purpose best:

  • Most common is the solution with a carrycot.
  • An excellent addition to this is also the soft carrycot: The latter is made primarily of soft material, and is as a rule provided with a sturdy frame so that the small passengers are sufficiently protected.
  • The baby seat offers considerably more stability for the child. It is manufactured using sturdy material – the child is automatically placed in an optimal position and the seat provides the feeling of overall protection. Furthermore, it can be used in the car as a car seat – but enough breaks should be planned for when making longer journeys.
  • When a lot of time is spent travelling with the pushchair, the BABY-SAFE Sleeper or a carrycot are recommended. It is especially important for small babies and newborns that they are transported as often as possible in the recommended flat lying position.
  • When the child is a bit older and wants to discover the world in a sitting position, the time has come for a pushchair seat: With a footrest as well as a folding cover, it offers everything needed to go on both a sporty and comfortable spin.

B-SMART200Broad selection from BRITAX

BRITAX offers a broad selection of pushchairs:

  • B-MOBILE pushchair: As a Travel System, it offers perfect versatility, is very light and manoeuvrable as well as extremely comfortably sprung.
  • B-SMART combination pushchair: Also constructed according to the Travel System principle, it is light, generously equipped and can be combined with either a BABY-SAFE infant carrier, a BABY-SAFE sleeper or a pushchair attachment.
  • B-DUAL tandem pushchair: It has room for two children when needed. The main seating unit can be attached in different directions and also allows for a flat lying position. This makes the B-DUAL idea for siblings – and it doesn't matter if they are the same or of different age.
